Story
Call us crazy but we have both decided to run the London Marathon 2020 and we are proud to be running for the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT).
CHECT is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting families affected by retinoblastoma (Rb) - a rare form of eye cancer that affects young children, mainly under the age of six.
As most of you will know, our daughter Alice was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma in May 2017. Although her treatment is now over, Alice sadly lost her left eye in 2018 after a year of treatment and will stay under the supervision of the Royal London Hospital for the foreseeable future.
So we are taking on this massive challenge in the hope that the funds and awareness we raise for CHECT will help them support other families like ours through the devastating times that they will face.
We also have lots of fundraising activities planned for between now and April 2020 so please keep your eyes open for details.
