Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The four of us (myself (Mike), Scott, Phil and Aaron) will be aiming to walk 100 miles along the Southdowns Way. Our aim is to complete it in under 72 hours and to raise money for a charity that is close to our hearts along the way.

We also like to challenge ourselves and wanted to try a new variety of challenge ourselves by doing this, then we thought why not do it for charity and do some good also! ?

We all have a strong love for dogs in general but have a connection to this particular shelter specifically.

I adopted my dog Rollie (picture above) from the Stubbington Ark dog rescue over 10 years ago and ever since he has been the joy of not only my life, but of everyone else's that has known him.

When adopting Rollie we were extremely impressed by the work that the shelter does and also the helpfulness and friendliness of all staff/volunteers. It was similarly evident that they had clearly put the work in to really develop dogs and give them the best chance at adoption and a happy life. This really is a great charity that is doing a lot of good work for dogs that need it.

We hope you can all help us raise some money for a shelter that perhaps may not be the first thought of people when doing fundraising events and allow them to continue to do what they do so well.
