100MilesforMax was born from love, courage, and determination.

What started as a father cycling to visit his son, Maxence, during long months of treatment became a powerful mission: to fight brain tumours and support life-saving research. Through countless rides and challenges, the team has raised over £60,000 to fund vital medical research and care.

Today, we proudly support the medical team and researchers who looked after Max, alongside The Brain Tumour Charity—the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of brain tumour research globally. Their work saves lives, supports families, and pushes urgently for new treatments because, for those facing a brain tumour, waiting is not an option.Our commitment has only grown stronger.

Even though Maxence is no longer with us, his spirit drives every mile we ride.

To support this vital research, we participate in various cycling events. Our most popular event is the annual London to Brighton ride, which takes place every year in mid-September.

This year marks our 5th time participating, and 22 riders will be cycling for the 100MilesforMax team! The team is growing every year, and we love welcoming new riders. If you are keen to join us for next year's edition, save the date: 12th September 2027.

Alongside our other events, the team’s longest challenge to date was the Chase the Sun ride—a grueling 200-mile journey on the 20th of June. The ride took the team from sunrise to sunset, stretching from the Isle of Sheppey to Weston-super-Mare. This required an incredible effort, as most of the team had never cycled such a long distance before! It was intense, but we made it in 13.5 hours.
