Story
Help us reach new heights for Niamh!
We're trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp to raise funds for Demelza.
Rob's amazing niece Niamh was diagnosed with a life-limiting condition called SMA Type 1. Thanks to the ongoing support from Demelza, Niamh and her family are able to receive expert clinical care and emotional support, giving them the chance to live life with strength, joy and togetherness.
We truly believe Niamh is thriving because of the ongoing support that Demelza provides, not just to her, but to her Mum, Gemma and her sister Harper. Sometimes it's the little things - like a simple visit from the care team - that allow Gemma time to handle day-to-day tasks or just to be able to take a breath. This time is essential, it helps her recharge and be able to meet the huge demands of caring for a child with SMA, and Harper too.
This challenge will push us both physically and mentally to reach base camp, and trek back down again.
Every donation - no matter how small - makes a real difference.
Demelza can only continue their vital work, bringing comfort, care, and moments of normality to families dealing with difficult circumstances.
Your support means to the world to us, but it means more than you know to Niamh, Gemma, Harper and the Demelza team.
We are organising some fundraising events over the next year, so please email us at 2trek4niamh@gmail.com if you want to be kept up-to-date with events information.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Mark & Rob.
