Story
In 2019, we lost our very good friend Robert Senatore.
As a group of friends, we have known Robby since we were 12 and although quiet and unassuming, he was an integral part of our group and there isn't a day that goes by where we don't miss him or laugh loudly about the times, and sometimes trouble, we had as a group.
It's coming up to nearly 4 years since we lost him and collectively we thought we'd mark this time by doing something in his honour. True to form, we've gone bold and decided to do The National Three Peak Challenge. For those who don't know what this is, it involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales in a 24 hour period. Initially we anticipated doing this in 2019, but with Covid, children and general life putting those plans on hold, we've had to postpone to this year.
It's not a challenge we're taking lightly and training is well underway as we're determined to break 24 hours.
We want to ensure all our efforts don't go to waste so our chosen charity is Helen Rollason. They are an Essex based Cancer Charity dedicated to supporting people whose lives are touched by cancer. Their centres offer a range of complementary therapies to patients in an environment of peace and tranquility, including counselling, reflexology, aromatherapy, manual lymphatic drainage and support groups. The centres are for patients with all types of cancer at all stages, whether newly diagnosed or longer term, throughout and after completion of treatment.
As local Essex boys, who's lives in the past year have been effected directly by cancer, this is a charity we are fully committed to supporting and we hope you can give as generously as you can.
Please keep an eye on the page for updates on our training and fundraising events we have coming up.
Thank you!
