We run national awareness campaigns to educate and create awareness of melanoma

Story

The 71st Bewl Dragon Boat Festival is to be held on the 4th September in Lamberhurst, Kent. We are entering a full team to compete in this well-established date in the Kent calendar, which consistently draws big family crowds, whatever the weather. As well as being fun, challenging and entertaining, the day is a ‘win-win’, helping raise thousands of pounds for charities across the UK.

The ‘Amazonians and Gargareans’ are an elite crew of fit, sporty, health conscience women AND NOW MEN, not just content to take part, but determined to WIN and raise lots of donations for a brilliant cause.

Yes, we are competitive, we take the races seriously, but with a smile, have the most amazing experiences, and build lasting bonds within the team and with other teams attending. Last year, our ‘all women’ team were the fastest female crew on the day coming in 8th. We were just pipped getting into the finals, with a last race that was truly epic, setting the hairs on end for all watching! See below... and yes we did WIN!

As always, we will be competing in full costume, similar to our Amazonian’s 2019 attire below, but this year joined by men, who are prepped to not let the sartorial side down!
