Having run for a number of years and pounded hundreds of miles of road, trail, canal towpath and hills - I felt now was the time for others to benefit from my hours on the roads and hills. I ran my first marathon last year in Liverpool.....for my second Marathon........the Arctic Circle.

In late May 2022, I shall be running a marathon in Northern Greenland, well above the arctic circle. The conditions, location and environment will be very different to what I am used to and a long distance run in sub-zero temperatures with icebergs for company will provide far greater challenge than my usual routes.

I am raising funds for two worthy causes:

Mercy Ships - My school charity for 2021/2022 - a faith based international development organisation that deploys hospital ships to some of the poorest countries in the world, delivering vital free healthcare to people in desperate need.

Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance - a charity who supports, encourages and advises families whose children have a cancer diagnosis. They support the whole family at challenging and sometimes difficult times.
