May 2019 come along and turned my world upside down. When I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) I then spent 7 months in hospital, with just 6 weeks here and there, spent at home with my children. Macmillan Cancer Care, put so much support into place for myself, giving me the encouragment I needed to get me through my darkest hours. And do so for so many others also.

I am now coming up 2 and a half years in Remission, and to mark this, on Sunday 17th July, myself, Claire (Sister) and Lucie (Best Friend) will be completing a 13 mile hike, 'Thames Path Mighty Hike' to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Care.
