Story

Our Team at Utilita were asked by The Fire Fighters Charity if we fancied being locked up to support the UK's fire family, so we said "Yes!" and that was where the Utilita Jail and Bail event was born.

The Jail and Bail event is where participants are 'locked up' for heinous crimes and need to raise bail, which is donated to The Fire Fighters Charity, to be released.

Each team member has been 'arrested' and need to raise different amounts of bail in order to be released. The question is, who will be released first?

Paul Taylor (Head of Telesales) : Has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the disappearance of “Airwolf” a supersonic stealth helicopter and is being held at Chesterfield Fire Station. He needs to raise £500 bail to be released.

Steve Parker (Chief Operating Sales Officer): Has been arrested (on his birthday) for being a Liverpool Fan in possession of a Spurs Season Ticket and is being held at Chesterfield Fire Station. He needs to raise £1000 bail to be released.

Ashley Milne (Chief Finance Officer, Designate): Has been arrested for trying to steal a boat from the marina and is being held on Smartfishing's boat at drydock near Southampton. He needs to raise £1000 bail to be released.

Ericka Williams (Group Compliance Manager): Is an American lady in Harrogate who has been arrested for impersonating a comedian. She's being held at Harrogate Fire Station and needs to raise £500 bail to be released.

Over to Laura, our jailer (and Corporate Fundraiser at The Fire Fighters Charity):

‘We’ve managed to catch our wanted criminals and I’m absolutely not releasing them… unless they can raise the high amount of bail set, due to the extremity of their heinous crimes. As you can see below, I have 4 of them in custody… please click on the pages below and with any luck they won’t be able to raise the bail.' WHA HA HA HA HA *evil laugh*

'If they miraculously find anyone who feels they should be released, the bail raised will be donated to The Fire Fighters Charity’.
