Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.

At A1 Bathrooms & Kitchens we are very aware of the effect that dementia can have on peoples lives. It's not necessarily those who actually have dementia, it's more often their family and friends who suffer, having loved ones not remembering your name or even not recognising you can be devastating. Personality changes can make people unrecognisable from their usual selves, they can lose pride in their appearance and health and can turn aggressive, rude or violent, it really is one of the cruellest diseases.

In order to raise money and awareness, 4 of us are taking on the Trek26 Stonehenge challenge to hike a 26 mile route around Stonehenge and the Wiltshire countryside, we hope you can support our efforts by donating to this worthy cause.
