From Carlos and Yannet

As some of you already know, our son Adrián passed away on the 1st February 2026. He was diagnosed with FIRES (febrile infection related epilepsy syndrome), a very rare and severe syndrome.

We would like to say thanks to everybody, parents and children who shared this path from baby and toddler groups, primary school, to all the people who shared some time in the park, playground, church or whatever place.

We have chosen to support these two incredible charities that have helped us immensely whilst Adrián was in PICU Addenbrookes.

During one of the most frightening and overwhelming times of our lives, their support, care and compassion made a real difference to our family.

By fundraising for both charities, we hope to give something back so they can continue supporting other families going through similarly difficult times.
