Raising money for Connected Planet Foundation

Connected Planet Foundation's mission to is to connect communities to nature. We believe what people love, they will protect, therefore our aim is to build connections to wildlife and nature, whilst teaching the importance of protecting our planet.

Story

Dear friends and supporters,

This year, Adventure Conservation is back in motion—on two wheels and deep in the wild.

Through a series of bold, self-supported cycle tours and wilderness trails, we are raising funds for the Connected Planet Foundation, with a special focus on the transformative project it supports: Koru Camp.

From cycling 320km from London to Paris, to riding 176km from London to Brighton and back, and preparing for a 240km journey from London to Amsterdam, each ride is completely unsupported—no backup vehicle, self-guided. Just riders, their bicycles, the gear on their bikes & backs, and the road ahead. It’s a test of endurance, determination, and purpose.

But it doesn’t stop there.

We also take to the wilderness trails, carrying everything we need on foot—clothing, food, water—trekking through some of Southern Africa’s most breathtaking and remote bushveld. We sleep under the stars with no tents, no fences, no barriers. Just open skies, crackling fires, and the raw, unfiltered sounds of the night—lions calling in the distance, hyenas whooping under moonlight. These trails demand self-sufficiency, humility, and presence. They reconnect us to nature in its purest form.

Why do we do it? Because hope starts here – with the Connected Planet Foundation.

Connected Planet is on a mission to restore the bond between people and nature through conservation, education, and empowerment. At the heart of this mission is Koru Camp—a place where young people, particularly from underserved communities, experience nature up close, many for the very first time.

As Sir David Attenborough said, “Nature once determined how we survive. Now we determine how Nature survives.”

Koru Camp offers immersive, hands-on learning that cultivates awareness and responsibility for our environment. Through activities rooted in conservation, ecology, and connection to nature, the camp is shaping a generation of nature-literate changemakers. It’s about more than information—it’s about transformation.

Your support can make that transformation possible.

Just £50 can fund two nights at Koru Camp for a child—giving them the chance to explore, discover, and form a meaningful relationship with the natural world on their doorsteps. This kind of experience builds the foundation for a lifetime of environmental stewardship.

Every journey we take—whether by cycle through European landscapes or on foot across African wilderness—is driven by the same purpose: to protect what matters, and to invite others to do the same.

Join us. Support us. Share in our journey.

Let’s ride, walk, and sleep under the stars—for the planet, and for the future.

Hope starts here.

With gratitude,

Adventure Conservation
