The Breast Foot Forward Walk sponsored by SuperValu first took part in 2021 and Action Cancer was delighted to welcome hundreds of participants. We raised over £40,000 which provided 333 local ladies with a potential life saving breast screening appointment.

Each year Action Cancer provides 8,000 breast screening appointments to ladies aged 40 -49 or 70+ from our clinic in Belfast and on board our Big Bus which travels to over 200 locations each year.

For every 1,000 appointments 6 women have their cancers detected when it may otherwise have gone unnoticed.

This service is completely free to the user but costs Action Cancer £120.

Action Cancer receive no regular government funding and so we rely on raising funds through events like these to deliver our services.
