Story
🌌 The Arctic Ascent 2026 – Riding for Teddy
Three middle‑aged men from Rochdale — Tim Knight, Tim Fairley, and David Kennedy — are taking on an extraordinary challenge in memory of their great friend Simon “Teddy” Taylor, who tragically passed away from a sudden heart attack in 2023.
On 7 June 2026, the team will set off from Oslo, Norway, beginning a ten‑day cycling journey to the Arctic Circle, finishing in Bodø on 16 June 2026.
🚴♂️ The Challenge
Distance: ~1500 km
Elevation: Over 55,000 ft (17,000 m)
Duration: 10 days
Route: Remote roads, long Arctic days, and some of Norway’s toughest terrain
This is a test of endurance, resilience, and friendship — a journey worthy of Teddy’s memory.
❤️ Why We’re Riding
