We at Bankfield Surgery are proud to support Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink Day on 24th October, raising awareness and funds for life-changing breast cancer research and support.

As a local GP surgery, we see the impact breast cancer has on our patients, their families, and our wider community here in Elland. Whether it’s the emotional toll, the physical challenges, or the uncertainty that comes with a diagnosis, we know how vital it is to stand together—and to stand out in pink.

That’s why our team will be wearing pink on the day, to show our solidarity and spark conversations. We’re also inviting staff and patients to donate what they can to help fund groundbreaking research and essential support services.

Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, and every donation helps Breast Cancer Now move closer to their goal: to make sure that by 2050 everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives, and is supported to live well.
