This July, We're taking part in the BHS Rideathon because spending time outside matters to us.

It gives us the chance to get fresh air and enjoy the countryside. For Riders those moments on bridleways and tracks people and their horses relax, build confidence and feel safe away from traffic.

But it is getting harder to take that freedom for granted. Gates seize up or are impossible to open from the saddle. Bridleways become so overgrown that they are no longer passable. Routes we once used easily are suddenly out of reach, meaning fewer safe places to ride and enjoy time with our horses.

We are riding/walking/swimming 25km or more this July to help change that. The money we raise will help keep off-road routes open, safe and accessible — not just for horses and riders, but for everyone who values access to the countryside.
