Story

Gold House students and staff have chosen The Sepsis Trust as the registered charity for this year.

We are looking for students, staff and alumni to support the Winter 6hallenge by setting themselves individual targets with a 6 in them, and joining the BVGS Team to raise £10,000 together.

Mr B.Davies whose daughter Aoife suffered from Sepsis at 9-weeks old will be cycling and walking 600km from the start of December to the end of February, whilst his daughter's Isla and Aoife will be looking to cover 66km over the same period.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
