Story

Join with us this winter....

Our Winter 6hallenge aims to inspire positivity and joy in these uncertain times, and, at the same time, raise much needed funds so we can protect and support even more people .

All you need to do is dream up a challenge that suit your interests perhaps based around the number 6* (or 60, 66, 600 etc.) and complete it by 28th February 2021.

It could be something as simple as running or riding 6 miles as part of your staying active routine or <something social>. Its completely up to you and there are no rules apart from adhering to Government guidelines on how to stay safe. You can do it on your own or as part of a team its entirely your choice.

The main thing is to be creative, have fun, and raise or donate whatever you can to support our lifesaving work. Thank you!

* Why 6? There are six main signs of sepsis for both children and adults and our treatment pathway, The Sepsis Six is used in over 98% of hospitals in England.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
