Story
My 9-year-old son, Blake, was recently diagnosed with epilepsy after experiencing seizures at home. Until this happened, I never truly understood the daily challenges faced by people living with this condition. Every day brings something new — medication schedules, side effects, and the uncertainty of when a seizure might strike. It has completely changed our lives.
Through all of this, Blake remains his bright, energetic, and kind self. His strength and positivity inspire us every day, and we want to use our experience to help others facing the same challenges.
We are walking 100 miles in January to continue raising money for the Epilepsy Society to support the incredible work they do for individuals and families living with epilepsy. Your donation will help fund vital research, resources, and support services that make a real difference in people’s lives.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support — it means the world to us and to everyone affected by epilepsy. 💜
Below you can see how your donation could help.
£24 Could pay for one of our trained operators to support a caller with concerns relating to living with epilepsy.
£50 Could help to prepare examples for crucial genetic testing, bringing us closer to groundbreaking discoveries
£100 could allow us to store and test whole genomes for 5 people. Paving the way for personalised treatments.
Thank you so much for your support! 💜
