In loving memory of Brigid O’Donnell

Earlier this year, we lost Brig after a brave battle with cancer. She was diagnosed in September, and from that moment, The Royal Marsden stood beside her and her family every single step of the way. Being so close to Brig, we saw first-hand what that support meant, not just the medical care, but the compassion, and the strength it gave her and everyone around her when it was needed most.

This July, in her memory we are taking on a challenge that scares us a little, if we’re honest. We’re cycling from Madrid to Seville, over 500km, aiming to cover 100km a day, through 40°C+ heat, in a part of the world that doesn’t do anything by halves. None of us are natural cyclists. Friends and family have told us straight up that we’re crazy for attempting this. They’re probably right. But Brig faced something far harder than a few hot days in the saddle, with more courage than we’ll ever need to find on this ride.

We’re doing this because we want something good to come from something so painful, and because The Royal Marsden deserves every bit of support we can give them in return for what they gave Brig. Every donation, big or small, goes directly toward making sure other families get the same world-class care and support that she did.
