REME Veterans fundraising for Who Dares Cares

Raising money for Who Dares Cares

Founded in 2016 by two former serving soldiers, Calum MacLeod and Colin Maclachlan, Who Dares Cares has a team of volunteers committed to supporting our Armed Forces and Blue Light Services personnel, including their families, who are suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Story

3 DAYS… whose idea was that?!

In 2026, at the ages of 54 and 52, we’re taking on the West Highland Way — 96 miles of hills, rain, and midges.

If 96 miles wasn’t enough, we’re doing it in just 3 days.

And if that still isn’t enough… we’re aiming to cover 53 miles on day one.

This isn’t just a challenge — it’s personal.

Many veterans of the Armed Forces and members of the blue light services carry experiences most people will never understand.

For some, those experiences don’t fade. They stay.

Constant fear.Constant stress.No switch-off. No escape.

And sometimes… that constant pressure becomes too much.

When someone reaches that point, they’re not thinking clearly.

If only they had the support to help them through it.

That’s why we’re doing this.

We’re raising money for Who Dares Cares — a volunteer-run charity supporting veterans and emergency service personnel struggling with PTSD and mental health challenges.

Every single member of their team gives their time freely to help others.

Please support us if you can.

Every donation helps them continue that fight — and helps someone get the support they need, when they need it most.
