Story
In August 2024, our healthy, sporty teenage daughter, Rowan, complained of some ankle pain, after a visit to A&E and further testing , we were devasted to be told, she had Oestosarcoma, a primary bone cancer which only accounts for 2-3% of all childhood cancers.
Amazingly, 18 months later, several rounds of chemotherapy and reconstructive leg surgery, to remove the tumour, she is back at school and slowly but surely, getting back to the things she loves. Our mission is to raise awareness into this horrible disease, and to improve treatments and patient outcomes.
In April 2026, I and my 3 'willing' running compadres will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to help raise funds for research. These incredible ladies were my running/talking therapy sessions, whilst Rowan was undergoing treatment and I'm grateful they are undertaking this challenge with me. Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
