We’re Running the London Marathon 2026… Yes, BOTH of Us! 😅🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We’ve officially signed up to run the London Marathon together for Team Whizz-Kidz.

Why Whizz-Kidz?

More than 75,000 young people in the UK need a wheelchair to live life to the fullest—but many don’t have access to one that truly fits their needs. That’s where Whizz-Kidz steps in. They provide custom-made mobility equipment, life skills training, and confidence-building experiences that help young wheelchair users become more independent, included, and empowered.

This is not just a cause we care about—it’s one we live.

Our 9-year-old son, Noah, was born with cerebral palsy and is unable to walk. Getting him the right wheelchair changed everything. It gave him independence, joy, adventure… and the freedom to just be a kid. While he received a basic chair through the NHS, it didn’t fully meet his needs, so we fundraised for one that truly fit him. Watching him explore the world with confidence has been the most incredible gift.

We want that same freedom and confidence for every child who needs it.

Why the marathon?

This is a huge personal challenge—especially for one of us, who’s not exactly a natural-born runner (hello sore legs, early mornings). But we’re doing it because we believe in Whizz-Kidz, and we’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference the right equipment and support can make for kids like Noah.

We’re running for the thousands of families who are still fighting to get the right chair. And for every child waiting for the freedom to move through the world with confidence.
