Team fundraising for Stratford upon Avon Samaritans

Raising money for Stratford upon Avon Samaritans

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

Stratford upon Avon Samaritans branch opened in 1990 and is now within the top 15% of Samaritan branches. We have over 100 volunteers who give their time freely to support people in emotional distress. Our aim is for fewer people to die by suicide. We listen and listen and listen!

Story

Adrian, Anne and daughter Clara are gearing up to take on the London Marathon on 26 April 2026 — a challenge that fills us with both excitement and a deep sense of purpose. We are running to support the Stratford upon Avon Samaritans, an extraordinary charity dedicated to providing a safe and compassionate space for anyone in need of someone to listen. The Samaritans offer their unwavering support 24/7, lending a listening ear and a helping hand during some of life’s most difficult moments.

The vital work they do often goes unseen but makes an incredible difference in countless lives. Their compassion and dedication inspire us every day, and we feel truly privileged to stand behind their mission. Training for this marathon is demanding, but knowing that every step brings hope and comfort to those struggling keeps us motivated.

We humbly ask for your support in reaching our fundraising target of £3,000. Every donation, no matter the size, helps ensure the Samaritans can continue their essential work in our community. Thank you sincerely for visiting our page and considering a contribution — your kindness means the world to us and those who rely on this invaluable service.
