We did it! Today has been an amazing day on the fells for all of us. We’ve had a proper Lake District day with sweltering temperatures, biting winds and heavy rain! A bit of everything!

The Marshalls were supportive and encouraging, the cake was delicious and a pint at the end just topped off the day nicely.

Thank you all for your generous donations. It has really helped us get through today knowing we had so much support behind us.

We are a group of staff from Bridekirk Dovenby School, near Cockermouth, Cumbria, taking on this challenge for the first time.

We all have our different reasons for signing up to the 10 in 10, whether it’s getting fit after pregnancy, recovering from injury or simply a personal challenge to take us out of our everyday comfort zone.

It will be a long day out on the fells but we are a close team in our everyday working lives at school and together we believe we are stronger.

Our school mission is Work Hard, Aim High, Shine Bright so that is what we will do.
