Raising money for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People

As the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, we brighten the short lives of babies, children and young people who come to Rainbows. We want them to have fun and make special memories. We are also here to support their loved ones through the most difficult times of their lives.

Story

Rainbow's appeal for help on BBC East Midlands Today in mid-July really resonated with us. Although we are all facing unprecedented challenges due to Covid-19, this made us reflect on how many people are struggling more than we are at this time and in particular children and their families who might not be able to access the respite care they've come to rely on.

We are setting up a number of events to help us share lighter moments with each other in our teams and as the family and friends of Rolls-Royce; whether in the factory or office, working from home or on furlough. As we hold fast together during these difficult times we also want to do a little bit of good for charity.

We've set up this page so that even if we aren’t as close physically, we can still come together and contribute towards our teams’ fundraising initiatives. The proceeds will go to Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, so they can continue the amazing support they give to over 450 families impacted by life-limiting conditions.
