This year Brockwell Swimmers will again be raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute with three relay teams attempting to cross the Channel as well as a relay at the Lido in July.

Our five person team 'Brockwell Jellyfish and Jetsam' will be attempting the crossing on 19th July and the six person team 'Brockwell Blue Fins' on 20th July, both aboard the Connemara. Then another five person team 'Brockwell Channel Chasers' swimming after the 27th September aboard the Gallivant. And finally a six person relay swimming after the 29th September aboard the Louise Jane II. The twenty and half mile crossing will be swum one hour at a time by each member; e.g. one hour swim then four or five hours rest. Last year’s successful swims were taking between 12 and 13 hours to reach France.

Also, on Saturdat 16th August Brockwell Swimmers will attempt to swim a matching distance of 676 lengths of the Lido. We have one lane for three hours, 9am to 12noon. How many could you pledge? More details on our web site www.brockwellswimmers.com
