Story
As a global business we want to do more to contribute to our local communities. Campbell Scientific's Shepshed office has looked to support some local charities – particularly those that benefit children. We have chosen two charities which we strongly believe in – Rainbows and STEPS.
Rainbows is the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, they provide vital care and support to families impacted by life-limiting conditions.
Steps is a registered National Charity supporting families with children who have special educational needs. Following the principles of Conductive Education for children with conditions that cause motor impairments or motor development delays.
Both charities perform vital work in our communities, supporting children and their families to live their best lives.
To raise money for these great causes, we are planning a charity bike ride from Shepshed to Skegness on Friday September 24th 2021. The 'SHEPNESS' route is 100 miles long and will take anywhere between 6 and 8 hours to complete. You can see an overview of the route here > https://www.strava.com/routes/2807305146865661794.
We would like to support both charities equally, so unless you have a strong preference for either charity we'd appreciate it if we could keep the donations balanced.
