Thanks for supporting our fundraising page. The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, and every one of them needs the best support from diagnosis through to recovery or unfortunately for some, palliative and End of Life Care.

Throughout my nursing career I spent 30/38 years working in palliative care, some of these as a Macmillan Nurse.

This challenge will be supported by many people. The Oak Pub Braithwaite will be playing a major role in the activities for the year bringing the community together as everyone is touched by cancer in some way or other.

Grasmere Gather will be promoting and supporting the year.

Cumbrian Heavy Horses will be supporting this charity and helping out with some of the events.

Everyone joining will have their own reason for participating, many of the team will set their own goals, to help the overall challenge.and Macmillan.
