RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

Mel, Freddie, Tori and Claire - aka Chris's Angels - are raising money for the RNLI.

This is a cause we and our families all believe in. Like many people, we are swimmers and sailors who love the sea but know the dangers of unpredictable currents and changeable weather.

Mel's father, Chris Copeland, served in the British Army's 7th Parachute Regiment (RHA) and continues to skydive solo to raise money for the RNLI, as Chair of their Sherborne branch. He set up a fundraising initiative supporting the RNLI called "Three Fall Challenge" (he free falls solo with individuals who, like us, do a tandem jump, hence 'three fall') and he has raised money this way over several years.

This year he is close to reaching the £100,000 mark and we would love to help him get there and are very grateful for any money you can spare to support this cause.

As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe. RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They are the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators work tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.

A very important final note: our friend, Alex "Bosley" Wingate, is jumping with us on the same day. He's raising money for his own family's incredible charity, The Wingate Centre, which supports children with special educational needs and disabilities, you can find out more and donate here: xxxxxxxxxxx
