Raising money for St Gemma's Hospice

St Gemma's Hospice is a local, independent charity providing the best possible care and support for people in Leeds with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We support patients and their families, both in the Hospice and in the community, at any stage of their illness.

Story

I am fundraising in support of St Gemma's hospice in memory of Mark Hick who sadly lost his battle with pancreatic cancer less than 9 months of been diagnosed.

Mark has always been positive, never complained and still smiling till the last breath he took on the 4th of September 2020.

Mark was a loving husband to Vicky (my friend) and father of his 2 very young daughters (Olivia and Charlotte).

While he was an in-patient at St Gemma's Hospice he received an outstanding support and when he passed away, Vicky got the family support she deserved.

I am fortunate to be standing today and able to raise money towards the St Gemma's Hospice as all the free services they provide are not free to them (it cost them about £20,000 per day !!! yes per day.

In my eyes: unfortunately we can not chose when we die but if i can help people to pass away with dignity and the care - support they deserve then i will be happy

St Gemma's hospice have a fantastic team providing an outstanding end of life care - support and much more.

Any donations are welcome (see below what your contributions could help with) but i have decided that if i managed to raise £3,500 i will shave my hair and donate my hair for the Pancreatic Cancer UK charity.

Please Donate and thank you in advance

This is Mark (known as Gigsy), always had a smile !! Always
