Story
In Loving Memory of Our Dad — John White
Many of you will know that Dad’s journey to a diagnosis was long and incredibly tough. Through it all, he showed remarkable strength and unwavering positivity. Even in the hardest moments, he continued to put others first. He was, and always will be, our hero. We miss him deeply, every single day.
To honour Dad, myself, my brother Mark, Matt, and Rachel will be raising some money by hiking 100km over three days along the breath-taking Jurassic Coast - one of Dad’s favourite places. His granddaughter will be joining us for parts of the walk, carried between us so she can be part of this special tribute to her grandad.
We'll be supporting two charities close to our hearts, who helped us along the way: The Brain Tumour Charity and The Giles Trust Brain Tumour Fund (University Hospital).
We’ve chosen these charities for the following reasons:
The Brain Tumour Charity (Kerry's Page):
Because we believe in a future with faster diagnoses, better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
The Giles' Trust Brain Tumour Fund (Matthew's Page):
To help fund vital research, essential equipment, and support services for those affected.
Please choose which charity you wish to donate to or split your donation between the two links
Each year, over 12,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with a brain tumour - that’s 33 people every day. Brain tumours are the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among children and adults under 40.
We’d be truly grateful for your support as we walk in his memory and raise funds for causes that mean so much to us.
