Story
A group of volunteers, staff and carers will be taking part in this year's Kiltwalk to raise money for Carers of East Lothian. Two of our volunteers, Carol and Trudie, will be taking part dressed as caring bears. Along with staff member Hilary, and two supporters Allan and Helen, they will be taking on the Mighty Stride - walking 20 miles to raise much needed funds for this amazing charity. Kilts are ordered, training is well underway and our team are looking forward to lots of fun along the way! We also have some brave children (and their carers) taking part in the 5 mile Wee Wander. A huge thank you to everyone who is taking part!!!
We are raising money for this amazing charity - Carers of East Lothian (CoEL). Carers of East Lothian (CoEL) focuses on supporting unpaid carers so that they can continue to care for others. They provide anything from a bit of practical advice when needed through to much more support for carers who are struggling to cope with the physical and emotional demands of caring for someone on a full-time basis.
Their aims are to support all adults in a caring situation in East Lothian to get information and services to help their individual caring role, enhance their own wellbeing and strengthen their collective voice to improve services.
Your donation and support for our marvellous Kiltwalk team will help us continue to make a huge difference to people's lives! Thank you!
