Story
We will be trekking across Nepal and up to Everest base camp on the 23rd April to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. This trek is graded challenging to extreme because we will be trekking for 12 consecutive days over rough terrain, we will be exposed to altitudes of 5554m and temperatures will be as low as -10 degrees.
Bluebell Wood care for children and young adults whose lives are sadly just too short, both in their own homes and in there hospice in Sheffield. They support parents in making magical memories with their child, whether they have years, months, weeks or days together. With both of us being parents, Its unthinkable to think you’d ever be in that position with a poorly child where you’d require a hospice. After we visited the hospice last year and witnessing the amazing support they provide to the children and families we can't do enough for this brilliant charity and that’s what’s driving us to do the most physically challenging event of our life.
We have pledged to raise £13,125 for Bluebell Wood, this may seem a huge amount but this doesn’t go far as Bluebell Wood need £13,125 a day to keep their doors open. Only around 10% of their funding is from the government and everything else is paid for by donations.
Thank you for taking the time to read our page. Please help us raise as much money as we can for this amazing charity!
