Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

Catherine's story: In Sept 2025 my mother Rosemary Hill 'Rosie' at aged 78 was diagnosed with an inoperable glioblastoma.

On April 7th Rosie lost her battle and passed away.

Catherine committed to and has already completed a series of endurance challenges including running, swimming and cycling, plus the upcoming five-and a half mile swim at Coniston in the Lake District.

Dave's story: Last year when my wife Julia came home and told me her boss's mum, Rosie Hill, who had also been a colleague of Julia's, had been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour, I decided that I wanted to help support the family and my way was to register to join Catherine in the Coniston Water end to end ChillSwim.

Dave and Catherine are in training and on June 20th we will take part in the 5.25mile swim, the length of Coniston water in the Lake District.

Please help with as much £'s as you can to support this amazing charity - Brain Tumour Research.

One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.

Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
