Story
Different Strokes is a small national charity supporting working age and younger stroke survivors. They work to support thousands of families impacted by stroke every year. The majority of staff and trustees are stroke survivors themselves or have a close personal connection to stroke.
The north London branch is committed to long term recovery through self help. We are motivated to fulfill our potential including return to work where possible
The services we provide enable younger stroke survivors to reclaim their lives through active peer support. We are participating in the challenge by committing to 150 minutes of exercise (of any kind) per week. This week we had 2 gym sessions and a group class with our favourite neurophysio guiding us through a routine.
Thank you for supporting me and Different Strokes with your donation.
Update 17th March:
We have been participating in gym sessions, group exercise classes and individual workouts. We hope this is improving our neural connections to enhance recovery.
Thanks to everyone who has supported us so far x
