Story

I am embarking on a running adventure like nothing I have attempted before. The Bob Graham Round. A 100km (ish) continuous run over 42 of the lake districts finest summits totalling the hight of everest. The aim is to complete this challenge within 24hrs but if it takes me longer I’ll keep going until its completed. It will push me to (and probably beyond) my limits both physically and mentally. I am doing this for a personal challenge but also to raise money for 2 charities. I couldn’t decide which as both are so deserving of support hence the 2 options for donations so its your choice. When you click on “donate to a team member” you’ll see 2 identical options..just click on one to see which charity your money will go to!

The first: Mind, the mental health charity supported by Mountains for the Mind to raise awareness of the healing power of mountains and outside exercise and to raise funds to support people suffering with all sorts of mental health issues which is particularly prevalent after the Covid year!

The second: Patterdale Mountain Rescue in particular for Chris Lewis, an experienced member of the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team who fell 150 metres down a steep slope. Chris sustained severe life-changing injuries whilst attending a call out during lockdown for people who had travelled to Cumbria from out of the area.
