Story

Right then! An attempt at 'Everesting' has been on my bucket list for a while now, for those of you not addicted to endurance sport, that's cycling up and down the same stretch of hill non-stop until you've reached the summit height of Mount Everest at 8848m (in this case 34 times up from Ballinasig Cross to top of Connor Pass, 260km in total).

But, as anyone who knows me will tell you, I'm not one for doing things by halves, and suffering serious triathlon race withdrawal symptoms, I'm creating a new event, to be known as 'Tri-Everesting', (although I'm not sure how well it will catch on)! That means I will do also 3.8km sea swim to kick things off and, all being well, round off the day with a 42.2km run (aka a marathon)!

In order to alleviate some of the pain and suffering, (not mine, nor that of any the friends and family who have to put up with me through all the training) but of those less fortunate, I am raising money for the Kerry Hospice Foundation and UNICEF, anything you can spare will be so much appreciated. MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE.
