The Fife 4 for FND

Raising money for The University of Edinburgh

Edinburgh Kiltwalk 2026 · 13 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is one of the commonest conditions seen in neurology services worldwide. It is a hidden and significant cause of disability and distress, including in children and young people.

Story

Hey we are Davina, Ian, Louise and Shaf !

We are walking the Edinburgh KILTWALK Mighty Stride (21 miles in one day!) this September in aid of FND research at Edinburgh University.

FND is greatly misunderstood by the general public and medics alike . It has no respect for age or gender and we hope to raise much needed funds and awareness for this charity.

The care and support Davina has received from Professor Jon Stone and Laura Daniel and the team at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary has been immeasurable, as such we would like to give something back by supporting this charity to help facilitate research into this debilitating condition.

Any pennies you can spare will be so greatly appreciated and spur us on our mighty stride!
