Story
Support Our Ride for CALM: Edinburgh to Brighton for Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention.
In April 2025, we’re taking on an incredible challenge: cycling roughly 600 miles from Edinburgh to Brighton over 10 days to raise funds for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). CALM works tirelessly to prevent suicide and support those facing mental health struggles in the UK.
This journey is more than just a physical challenge for us; it’s a tribute to our friends, Matt and Finn, who both lost their lives to suicide—Matt in 2013 and Finn in 2023. We want to honour their memory by supporting a cause that provides hope and help to those who need it most.
Every single day, 18 people in the UK die by suicide, with men making up around 75% of those tragic losses. CALM is committed to lowering this number by offering essential support, spreading awareness, and tackling stigma around suicide.
We’ll be carrying everything we need on our bikes, camping out each night, and navigating the unpredictable spring weather and UK landscape. It’ll be tough, but we’re ready to push ourselves in Matt and Finn’s memory.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in helping CALM continue their vital work. Join us on this journey to bring hope to those struggling in silence.
