We are taking on a half marathon to raise money for The Big Space Cancer Appeal at Cheltenham General Hospital.

Now, because I work in fitness, I appreciate that running a half marathon might not sound like a particularly challenging thing for me to do! But believe me, it is. Running 13.1 miles is going to push me to my absolute limits, and as a team, we are all going to have to work incredibly hard for every single mile.

We’ve come together to raise money for The Big Space Cancer Appeal because cancer has affected people close to us. We know firsthand how vital the care, dignity, and support provided by our local NHS is to patients and their families during their toughest moments.

Our collective goal is to help fund a brand-new, world-class cancer care centre right here at Cheltenham General Hospital. This appeal is creating a bigger, brighter, and far more welcoming space for local people receiving treatment.It’s about so much more than just a new building.

This centre will provide:

Larger, open spaces for patients and their loved ones to be together.

Private rooms for important, sensitive, and often difficult conversations.

Peaceful areas and therapeutic gardens to rest, breathe, and recover.

Modern facilities to support the incredible, hard-working NHS teams providing the care.

The current facilities have done an amazing job caring for our community for over 25 years, but it is time for an upgrade.

This new centre will transform the experience of cancer care for local people for generations to come.

While an incredible £9.8 million has already been raised, there is still a long way to go to cross the finish line.
