Story
In 2019, our family lost Ben to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). He was only 19 years old.
Ben was so much more than epilepsy or the way he died. He was a son, a brother, a partner, and a friend. He was unapologetically and authentically himself—sometimes purposely aggravating, but always loving.
One of the hardest things about SUDEP is how little many people know about it until it touches their family. By walking, running, moving, fundraising, and sharing Ben’s story, we hope to help change that.
SUDEP Action Day on October 21 gives us a chance to honour Ben while supporting greater awareness, education, research, and other families affected by epilepsy-related deaths.
Nothing can replace Ben or take away our grief, but we can keep his memory alive while supporting work that may prevent another family from losing their Ben.
Every donation and share means so much to us.
We’re doing this for you, Ben. Always. 💙
