Story
In May 2021 we lost a friend who was a brother to us, Liam Stubbs (Stubby) due to battles with mental health. On the day it happened the whole of Barnsley was silenced as Stubby's left a whole in many hearts. To this day suicide is the biggest killer in men under 50. We're all aware the NHS is underfunded but there is a particular lack of resources and understanding when it comes to Mental health. Too many people have been affected by similar situations and we are sure this sits close to home for many. So in memory of Stubby we would like to raise money by completing the great north run in his name, to raise money for MIND which is a charity that not only understands Mental Health but actively tries to make sure the right resources are in place for those suffering. If you knew Stubby you know he'd probably sign up for this the week before with no training, but we can't say the same about us.
Please support us along the way in our training for the next few months and help us make a difference no matter how small.
Thank you,
Ede and Amber xx
