Story
Freya and Meghann are fundraising for Beat – the UK’s eating disorder charity.
On 10th October (world mental health day), Both Freya and Meghann, will be walking 5 miles as part of the 1-2-5 challenge — to show support, raise awareness, and help ensure that no one facing an eating disorder feels alone.
Eating disorders are serious, isolating, and often misunderstood. Too many people suffer in silence, feeling like they have to fight their battles without support. Beat is working every day to change that — offering hope, information, and a lifeline to anyone affected.
Help for eating disorders are stretched thin. Often causing people to not get the early intervention help they deserve, Beat helps to change and challenge the system. Giving people a space to get resources and find help. To help take a difficult but life saving decision of recovery.
Eating disorders come in different shapes and sizes. No person suffering with an eating disorder has the same suffering. No person suffering with an eating disorder deserves to go through it alone. However, at the moment, many people do. And too many people loose their life or are left drowning internally due to their eating disorder and lack of support to help find freedom and joy in life again.
This walk is a small step to help make a big difference. Every donation goes towards supporting helplines, resources, and advocacy that save lives and remind people that recovery is possible — and that they are never alone.
If you’re able to donate, thank you. And if you can’t, sharing this page can still help someone feel seen and supported 💜
Let’s walk together — for connection, for compassion, for change.
Thank you.
