The 60 Miles in February challenge is a great way in which you can improve your fitness and also raise vital funds and awareness for The UK Sepsis Trust.

Story

Gemma's Warriors have come together to make a difference and make sure we can raise awareness for Sepsis.

On 1st March it will be a year since losing our beautiful friend Gemma within just days of her becoming critically ill with sepsis. We have decided to take on the challenge of running 35 miles (56.3km) during February to raise money for Sepsis Trust 🧡. We hope ending this challenge on 1st March will mark a year on from the most devastating day in a way that honours Gemma for her charitable, loving and kind nature. We also hope this will help to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms and we know Gemma will be proud because she would never want anyone else and their loved ones to face this same heartbreak 💔.

Any donations will be hugely appreciated by us, her amazing family and everyone who knew and loved Gemma 🧡🧡🧡

THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE x x x

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
