Story
This summer, we are proudly joining the fight for better mental health by participating in "The BIG Sport Relief Run" running a total of 50km throughout June 2025.
We've not long started our running journeys, and are hoping to achieve some new PB's along the way! Ethan has already set a target of running 5k in 30 minutes, and has his fingers crossed to achieve this by the end of June as well as his first junior parkrun milestone.
4 year old Freya has also asked to take part, and will be aiming to run 10km in total - no expectation for her to get any PBs, just to have fun getting outside and taking part!
Sport Relief has a remarkable history of harnessing the power of sport and entertainment to unite people across the UK, encouraging us all to get active, have fun, and raise life-changing funds. Since its inception in 2002, Sport Relief has raised an incredible £420 million, thanks to the generosity of individuals who care deeply about making a difference. This initiative has supported millions of lives both in the UK and around the world.
Mental health is a vital issue that affects so many individuals and families. By taking part in this marathon, I aim to advocate for those who struggle silently and to shine a light on the importance of mental well-being. Together, we can create a supportive community that fosters understanding and compassion.
I kindly ask for your support as I strive to reach my fundraising target of £150. Every contribution counts and will help Comic Relief continue their essential work. Don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid option so they can claim an extra 25% on your donation! Let’s get moving – for mental health, for Comic Relief, and for that uplifting feeling we all cherish. Be a good sport!
