We are a group of community members who are preparing to welcome a refugee family to Little Chalfont (or nearby) through the UK Government’s Community Sponsorship scheme. We are hoping to welcome our family in early 2022.

The UN and the Government select the family and arrange their travel to the UK. Most families are from Syria, and they are carefully vetted and resettled to the UK for specific reasons, usually because they cannot live safely in Syria or Syria’s neighbouring countries. We will support them for at least the first two years after they arrive, arranging housing, education, healthcare, employment and everything else that the family needs to establish a new life here successfully.
