Go Team Austin! What are we up to you may ask? Well we cannot praise the work of the Macmillan nurses highly enough.

In 2022 we lost a dear husband and father then in 2023 a beloved mother and sister passed away. In 2024 one of our team members – Lizzie – was diagnosed with lung cancer, never having smoked aged 45. On each of these devastating occasions the Macmillan nurses were there for us, offering calm, practical and emotional support, and hugs when needed.

So when Macmillan advertised the North Norfolk Mighty Hike on May 10/11th to raise funds, we had to take up the challenge and Team Austin pledged to help raise funds for this wonderful organisation.

There are over 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It costs £250 per nurse per day so we individually pledged to raise £250 - total £1250. None of us particularly like to ask folks to part with their hard-earned cash, however we know that Macmillan really do incredible work at a time when people are at their most vulnerable.

If possible could you donate £5/£10 - but only if you can. It will help ensure that they will always be there for anybody should they need them.
