Story
On Saturday 7th June, myself and my eldest son Robert along with my friend Lucy and her daughter Sofia will be taking part in the Midnight Walk 2025 for St Catherine's Hospice.
I lost my mum Kay at the end of 2022 after she battled ovarian cancer for seven years.
During her final days the care she received from the St Catharines nurses was unmeasurable and the love and support they gave us as a family during such a difficult time was beyond words.
My mum didn’t want to go into the hospice and the care the nurses gave her meant she could stay in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
The St Catherine’s nurses were there when mum needed them night and day they showed nothing but compassion and kindness and most importantly my mum kept her dignity with their help.
Myself and my family will be forever grateful and will always support and help raise funds for the hospice at any opportunity.
I always understood that hospices were places where people got care for terminal illnesses but what I actually didn't understand until being in a situation where you need their help just how much they do.
So please sponsor us for the midnight walk any donations big or small make such huge differences to the people and the family’s they help across Surrey and Sussex.
St Catherine's Hospice cares for local people at the end of their lives in East Surrey and West Sussex. Every step I take at the Midnight Walk will help the hospice be there for local people and their friends and family when life comes full circle.
Please donate as much as you can today.
Thank you.
