The Mayday Mile
Campaign by RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RCN Eng/Wal 20609,SC037736,ROI20003326,IOM1308,Jer14)
Mayday is a call for help. Usually, RNLI lifesavers answer mayday calls and go to rescue others. But today, with a busy summer on the way, its they who need YOUR help. The Mayday Mile is a way to answer their call.

Story

We're walking our May Day mile like it's 1921!
Getting into replica lifeboat kit we'll tour Cromer taking in some of the sights of the town's lifesaving history.
We'll start off at the museum in oilies and sou'esters. Stand on the beach where the crew of the Sepoy were landed, walk along the beach to the wreck of the Fernebo, up the Doctor's Steps to the bust of Henry Blogg, past the school he attended and the cottage he lived in and follow his route to the lifeboat through the town to the end of the Pier.
Donate and help save people from drowning for another 100 years!

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
